Welcome to St. John the Baptist
Roman Catholic Church

St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church of the Arlington Diocese. The church is located in Front Royal, the historic county seat of Warren County, in Virginia's scenic Shenandoah Valley. The original church, dedicated on 1884, was built as a memorial for John Carrell Jenkins, a Maryland soldier who died for the Confederacy. The new expanded church, with a capacity of 475, was dedicated on June 24th, 1998, the feast day of St. John the Baptist — its Patron Saint.

When visiting Front Royal, please come and visit our parish and worship with us.

March for Life

St. John's will take one bus to the March for Life on Friday, January 19, 2018. If you would like to ride the bus, the cost is $10 per person this year, non-refundable. There are only 55 seats on the bus so reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis. We must have all paid reservations by Friday, January 12. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent. Please sign up as soon as possible.

There will be only one Mass that day: 9:30 am (replacing the usual 8:30 am Mass) and especially for those going to the March. There will be no morning Confessions that day.

The bus will then leave at approximately 10:15 am. Please bring a bag lunch and snacks to eat on the bus.

The bus should return by approximately 6:30 pm.

Friday, January 19 - 11:00 am - 12 noon

For those who cannot attend the March, there will be a Holy Hour in the Church at 11:00 am. We will join the marchers with our prayers.
